Fogafin is member of the International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI), a non-profit organization domiciled at the Bank for International Settlements, formed with the objective of enhancing the effectiveness of deposit insurance systems by promoting guidance and international cooperation.

Our institution follows the guidelines established in the Core Principles for Effective Deposit Insurance Systems, international standards designed to enhance the effectiveness of deposit insurance systems and are based on IADI research and guidance papers and the endorsement by IADI. Fogafín also applies the Key Attributes of Effective Resolution Regimes, given its condition as a resolution authority within the Colombian financial safety-net.

Our institution is also member of the IADI Latin America Regional Committee, which constitutes the main forum for deposit insurers in the region.
